WinShell 1.4 - README.TXT

To install WinShell, perform the following steps (exit Windows first):
  1. Copy the WinShell files into the WINDOWS directory 
     on your machine

  2. Edit the file SYSTEM.INI in your WINDOWS directory:
	- Look for the [boot] section
	- Replace the line "shell=progman.exe" with 
	  "shell=winshell.exe"
     This will set WinShell as your standard Windows shell.

  3. Rename TASKMAN.EXE in your WINDOWS directory (e.g. to WTASKMAN.EXE), 
     to be able to switch back to the standard Windows task manager

  4. Rename TASKMAN.WSH (part of this WinShell distribution) 
     to TASKMAN.EXE

  5. Start Windows and select the Program Manager group that
     you want to display icon buttons for (using "Set Button Group"
     in the "Options" menu)

  6. For additional assistance, select "WinShell Help" in the 
     "Help" menu
